Traditional Ph.D. Program
Greetings,
Florida Atlantic offers a vibrant and challenging Ph.D. program to the right individual. The traditional Ph.D. program places major emphasis on independent inquiry, the development of competence in research methodology, the communication of research findings, and development of teaching skills. Students will join a stimulating research environment where interactions with faculty members and fellow students play a vital role in creating research. The number of Ph.D. students in the program is relatively small, which allows the opportunity to work closely with faculty.
Accounting, Entrepreneurship (Management), Finance, Information Technology and Operation Management, and Marketing concentrations admit each fall. The program is full-time and is typically completed in four years. Most of our graduates pursue faculty positions at other universities.
We provide our students with a competitive financial package that includes a $38,000 annual stipend, tuition waiver, health insurance, and support to attend academic conferences. A state-of-the-art PhD lab is also provided by the College.
Our alumni appreciate the value-added education and collegial environment.

"My professors helped me develop into a researcher, networked with and for me, and prepared me for a career in academia." Dr. Bryan Deptula, 2014 (Management)
