Executive Master of Accounting (EMAC)

The Executive Master of Accounting (EMAC) program provides the educational groundwork for achieving professional goals with five unique concentrations to suit diverse interests and aspirations. This degree is administered by the Office of Executive Education within our AACSB-accredited College of Business at Florida Atlantic University.

Utilizing a hybrid learning format, the program delivers an outstanding educational experience designed to equip graduates with a Master of Accounting degree suitable for roles in private and public accounting, as well as government agencies.

The courses of the EMAC program may be used to satisfy the education requirements of the CPA and other professional licenses.

Program Start Dates

• Fall semester begins August 29, 2026
• Spring semester begins on January 16, 2027
• Summer semester begins May 15, 2027

The program also accommodates students with non-accounting undergraduate degrees, by offering the flexibility to complete the curriculum with an additional 2-5 courses, depending on their chosen concentration. These additional courses are integrated into the program schedule, eliminating the need for prerequisite courses outside of the program. Depending on career trajectory and areas of interest, students can choose from various concentrations for focused expertise in a specialized accounting area: 

• PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING
• FORENSIC ACCOUNTING 
• DIGITAL ACCOUNTING FORENSICS AND DATA ANALYTICS 
• TAX 

The program allows a dual concentration between Forensic Accounting & Digital Accounting Forensics and Data Analytics by completing 2 - 3 additional courses. The dual concentration can be selected before or during the program.

• Fully Online:  
  • Live-streamed lectures on Saturday mornings accessible from anywhere
  • Asynchronous, no set class meeting times
    • 24/7 access to recorded lectures
• Hybrid:

  • On Campus - Optional in-person lectures on the Davie Campus (3x per semester)
    • On-Campus attendance requires health immunization forms
• Mix online and in-person lectures anytime—for maximun flexibility at no extra cost to you

Program Duration:  

• 12 – 36 months (1 - 3 years) 
• 10 – 15 courses / 30 - 45 credits   

Course Schedule and Time:  

• Fall semesters: 2 courses (16 weeks)
• Spring semesters: 2 courses (16 weeks)
• Summer semesters: 1 course (12 weeks) 
• Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM
• Lecture duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes per course

Optional Once-a-month Class Location:  

• Join us on the FAU Davie Campus, in the state-of-the-art Davie West Facility 
• Breakfast and lunch included
