Florida SBDC at FAU Receives International Program Excellence Award
The Florida Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Florida Atlantic University recently received the prestigious “NASBITE International 2023 Program Excellence Award” for helping to develop and promote international trade. The purpose of this award is to recognize innovation and excellence in international trade instruction, curriculum development, research, program development, and/or advocacy of international business issues.

Ken. H. Johnson, Ph.D., associate dean in Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business, has been selected as the 2023 winner of the Ratcliff Award by the American Real Estate Society (ARES).
Venture for Athletes Wins FAU Business Pitch Competition
A new company using sensor technology to help athletes perform better won the $10,000 first prize in the 15th annual Business Pitch Competition sponsored by Florida Atlantic University’s College of Business and the Adams Center for Entrepreneurship. Dash, founded by FAU student Juan Fortich, develops small wearable pods that allow athletes to be healthier and maximize performance by improving their form in real time.

FAU Receives Gifts from George T. Elmore Impact for Good Initiative
Florida Atlantic University received two grants from the George T. Elmore Impact for Good Initiative fund established by George Elmore through the Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, which funds programs promoting community impact. The two awards include supporting brain science research on aging at the Stiles-Nicholson Brain Institute and fostering entrepreneurship programs at The Runway at Florida Atlantic at the College of Business.
